Proji Company is a constituent unit of the "National Engineering Research Center for Protein Technology" of Tsinghua University. It is the first national engineering laboratory established by the National Development and Reform Commission at Tsinghua University. Former President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Zhou Guangzhao, and the "Father of DNA", Nobel laureate James D. Watson served as honorary directors of the laboratory, with Professor Luo Yongzhang serving as the director. -

On October 13, 2009, the Beijing Municipal Commission of Science and Technology and the Zhongguancun Management Committee jointly held a signing ceremony for "Promoting the Construction of the Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone—Industrialization of Major Scientific and Technological Achievements." My company signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Zhongkejin Group and a project cooperation agreement with the Daxing Biomedicine Entrepreneurship Base Management Committee to jointly promote the industrialization of the "M2ES" project. Zhao Fengtong, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and secretary of the Education Work Committee, and Gou Zhongwen, deputy mayor, attended the signing ceremony and delivered important speeches. Other attendees included Bai Chunli, vice president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; Wang Zhongcheng, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Dai Wei, deputy secretary-general of the municipal government; Chen Xu, executive vice secretary of the Tsinghua University Party Committee; and others.
