Chen Fei, deputy secretary of the Yantai Municipal Party Committee and mayor of Yantai, led a team to investigate the Protgen Biomedicine Park.

On the afternoon of July 17, 2019, Chen Fei, Deputy Secretary of the Yantai Municipal Party Committee and Mayor; Gao Junbo, Secretary-General of the Municipal Government; and their entourage visited and held a symposium at the Yantai Progeria Biopharmaceutical Park, accompanied by Mu Shuqing, Secretary of the Yantai Development Zone Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee; Liu Congjie, Director of the Working Committee Office; and others. Luo Yongzhang, Director of the State Engineering Laboratory of Anti-tumor Protein Drugs (hereinafter referred to as the State Engineering Laboratory) of Tsinghua University; Xu Mingqin, Deputy General Manager of Progeria Biopharmaceutical Company; and others participated in the investigation.

Mayor Chen Fei and his entourage visited the production workshop and exhibition hall of the Yantai Progeria Biopharmaceutical Park. They listened to a report from Professor Luo Yongzhang, director of the State Engineering Laboratory, on the development of Progeria Company, and learned in detail about the company's development history, the planning and construction of the biopharmaceutical park, and the progress of pharmaceutical achievements transformation.

Mayor Chen Fei spoke highly of Progeria Bio Company's scientific research capabilities and achievements in biopharmaceuticals. He also conducted extensive and in-depth communication and exchanges with Professor Luo Yongzhang on the city's biopharmaceutical technology and industrial layout.

Mayor Chen Fei pointed out that biotechnology and its industry are key areas of development and support in our city. He encouraged Progeria Bio Company to seize opportunities and make full use of the major project, "Research on Common Key Technologies for Large-Scale Preparation of Recombinant Protein Drugs," approved by the state during the 13th Five-Year Plan for the State Engineering Laboratory, to seize the commanding heights and play a radiating and leading role in Yantai, Shandong Province, and even the whole country.

Progeria Bio Company is an important component of the "State Engineering Laboratory of Anti-tumor Protein Drugs," jointly established by Tsinghua University and Progeria Company. It is the first state engineering laboratory established by the National Development and Reform Commission at Tsinghua University.

The Shenzhen Municipal Guiding Fund Investment Co., Ltd. (“Municipal Guiding Fund”), Shenzhen Longgang Financial Investment Holding Co., Ltd. (“Longgang Financial Holdings”), and Shenzhen Projimed Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd. (“Shenzhen Projimed”) held a signing ceremony for the Shenzhen Projimed Injection-Grade Recombinant Human Serum Albumin Project.
