Proji Company is a constituent unit of the "National Engineering Research Center for Protein Technology" of Tsinghua University. It is the first national engineering laboratory established by the National Development and Reform Commission at Tsinghua University. Former President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Zhou Guangzhao, and the "Father of DNA", Nobel laureate James D. Watson served as honorary directors of the laboratory, with Professor Luo Yongzhang serving as the director. -

A joint visit by five national ministries and commissions to the National Engineering Research Center for Protein Technology

On February 21, 2025, Zhao Zhidan, Deputy Director General of the Department of High Technology Development of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), led a team of leaders from the NDRC, the National Health Commission, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the National Medical Products Administration to conduct a field research at the National Engineering Research Center for Protein Technology (hereinafter referred to as the Research Center). Teachers from Tsinghua University's Research Institute were also present.
Professor Luo Yongzhang, Director of the Research Center and Professor at the School of Life Sciences, Tsinghua University, gave a presentation and engaged in in-depth discussions with the leaders from the five ministries and commissions.
The meeting was enthusiastically received. The five ministries and commissions will subsequently work together with relevant ministries and commissions to jointly promote the implementation of the center's projects, maintain close contact, accelerate the industrial transformation of albumin technology, and promote the early launch of products to benefit the health of more people.
