Protgen Company is a constituent unit of Tsinghua University's "National Engineering Research Center for Protein Technology," a national engineering laboratory established by the National Development and Reform Commission at Tsinghua University. Former President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Zhou Guangzhao, and the "Father of DNA," Nobel laureate James D. Protgen Company has been primarily engaged in the development and production of recombinant protein drugs, antibody drugs, and in vitro diagnostic reagents for nearly twenty years. It has established a recombinant protein drug R&D and large-scale preparation technology platform, reaching a certain level. During the 11th Five-Year Plan to the 13th Five-Year Plan periods, it undertook 14 projects, including the National 863 Program and major national science and technology projects. The company has a complete intellectual property system, owning 80 domestic and international authorized invention patents (including 24 Chinese authorized invention patents and 56 foreign authorized invention patents). It has experience in successfully developing Class 1.1 recombinant protein new drugs and Class III (high-level) medical devices in China.
