Proji Company is a constituent unit of the "National Engineering Research Center for Protein Technology" of Tsinghua University. It is the first national engineering laboratory established by the National Development and Reform Commission at Tsinghua University. Former President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Zhou Guangzhao, and the "Father of DNA", Nobel laureate James D. Watson served as honorary directors of the laboratory, with Professor Luo Yongzhang serving as the director. -

2010
In January, the company was awarded the title of Potential Enterprise in the Leap-Forward Development Project of Beijing's Biomedicine Industry (G20 Project). In April, the company was awarded the title of Outstanding Contributor to the Industrialization of Major Scientific and Technological Achievements in 2009 by Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone. In August, the company was awarded the title of Key Cultivation Enterprise in the Gazelle Plan of Zhongguancun.
In January, the company was awarded the title of Potential Enterprise in the Beijing Biopharmaceutical Industry Leap-Forward Development Project (G20 Project).
In April, the company was awarded the title of "Outstanding Contributor to the Industrialization of Major Scientific and Technological Achievements in 2009" by the Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone.
