Proji Company is a constituent unit of the "National Engineering Research Center for Protein Technology" of Tsinghua University. It is the first national engineering laboratory established by the National Development and Reform Commission at Tsinghua University. Former President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Zhou Guangzhao, and the "Father of DNA", Nobel laureate James D. Watson served as honorary directors of the laboratory, with Professor Luo Yongzhang serving as the director. -

2008
In January, the research on the anti-angiogenesis drug MAS421 was awarded a grant from the National 863 Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology. In August, the company's joint application with Tsinghua University for the establishment of the "National Engineering Laboratory for Antitumor Protein Drugs" was approved. In October, Dr. James Watson, an American scientist, discoverer of the DNA double helix structure, and Nobel laureate visited the company.
